PRESS RELEASE – COVID-19

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has recorded 29 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

In addition to the 13 cases announced during the March 28 Press Briefing, another 16 cases were detected this evening.

Of these 16 cases, 14 cases are linked to positive cases already in treatment, 2 cases are still being investigated.

The total number of positive local COVID-19 cases since March 5 is as follows:

• 265 cases registered following Contact Tracing and COVID-19 Testing Centres.

• 38 cases recorded in quarantine (negative patients on admission).

• 13 cases recorded following random samples.

Note that 51 people are considered healed.

Thus the number of active cases at the local level is 265.
