All citizens must walk hand in hand, in unity, as ‘Enn sel lepep kont COVID-19’ to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic, stressed the Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, today, at the launching the National Awareness Campaign on COVID-19 at the Côte d’Or National Sports Complex.

An initiative of the Government Information Service in collaboration with the UN, the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and the National Youth Council, this campaign aims at sensitising the population on the importance of sanitary measures and protocols in the fight against the COVID-19. It will span over a period of three months, that is, from 24 May to 31 July 2021. The theme retained for this campaign is Enn sel lepep kont COVID-19.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the campaign should reach every citizen including children and youth, so that everyone is protected. The ultimate objective is to mobilise all citizens to break the chain of transmission, he reiterated.

He expressed thankfulness to the UN Resident Coordinator for extending support to the campaign.
