The Ministry of Health and Wellness recorded three (3) new cases of local COVID-19 contamination this Monday evening (May 03, 2021).

These are residents of the village of New Grove in the south of the island.

The first case has been detected following a COVID-19 swab. Testing Centre at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Rose Belle.

The other two cases are contacts of the initial patient.

Following these developments, the Ministry’s Contact Tracing team will conduct a screening exercise in the area concerned on May 4, 2021.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare stresses strict compliance with the health measures in place in the country.
